RochesterInk’s Mission: As a program of Just Poets, it is the mission of RochesterInk to celebrate poets and poetry, and to contribute to building Rochester’s reputation as an arts-rich community by means of an annual poetry festival, and other events. RochesterInk offers local poets both opportunities to showcase their poetic accomplishments and programs to further their careers as poets. It also seeks to assist poets to network with other members within the literary and art communities to maximize use of local resources and encourage collaborative efforts. Through its variety of programs, RochesterInk strives to increase the public’s awareness and appreciation of poetry, especially children and youth, for whom it seeks to cultivate and support a lifetime interest in poetry and all the literary arts.
